Eken Babu: Benaras e Bibhishika" : Another fulfilling adventure of the detective against the serene Varanasi

Bengal's very favourite Goyenda Babu is back.

This time, Ekendra Sen is visiting Caranasi with his Bapi Babau Sir and Promotesh Sir. But the oldest city of India is in chaos with the occurrence of a blast by a disguised terrorist. Ekendra initially was not in the mood to take part in solving the crime, but like other cases, this time again, his sharp wit was called to solve the case.

One of the endearing parts of this crime story is that they never climbed on harsh tales. The story since written in the early 90s, has a certain enigma and charm that keeps the audience of all age ranges hooked. Ekendra is self-centered and naive, but his brain works at a different frequency when he starts delving into a case.
Anirban Chakrabarti in the titular role is the perfect Bengali babu whose attention jumps around if he spots food. RJ Somak and Souhardyo, as his aides, are making the journey more delightful. Shaswat Chatterji deserves standing applause for adding so many layers to the main antagonist of the story. Biswanath Basu and Swikirti have a mediocre time pass but add solid layers.
Pairing of Gourav and Isha Saha seemed fresh, and their spontaneous performance added the twist that pulled the story in the right direction.
So, are you still hesitating to buy the ticket?
