From delivering stories that used to be as long as around 30 or 40 episodes, to concluding mini series within sixteen episodes, Korean drama industries are bringing changes in their storytelling style.
Ever since 2023, stories are now even served for a total of eight episodes. This mini series is fulfilling and captivating while matching up the time crunches of new audiences.
1. Squid game:
Divided into multiple seasons, Squid Game sheds light on the heinous practice observed in Korea during the late 80s. The story keeping Ji Gun in the centre role serves as punching line and subtle actions through high-octane suspense.
2. Serendipity's embrace
The genre KOrean drama industry loves to explore and present a tiny tale divided in present and past. Hong Ju acted as a love messenger for her best friend Hye Ji (their initials responsible for the mess) ends up walking straight into the heart of Hu Yeong. Their love failed to take the pace at their first encounter. Years later, Hu Yeong still downed in the little moments of his first love, decides to take a chance as Hong Ju is single.
Little loss in narrative and poor crafting of past and present time made the story little poor.
3. The Trunk
Not a mushy, but a horror contract marriage for the audience served with a high dose of betrayal. In Ji works as a contractual wife for conglomerates. Her nonsensical life folded inside a trunk triggers Jeong Won. What starts as a mere curiosity soon develops into steamy romance. But Seo Yeon is not ready to let go of her bitter life yet.
This mini series encapsulates the darkness of posh life while trying to sprinkle romance once in often.
4. Bloodhound
Crafted inside a boxing ring, this eight episode mini series chronicles the life of rookie boxers- Geon U and U Jin. The story delves into the financial woes athletes face in the process of pursuing their dream.

5. DP
