Adolescence Review: The mini series is a strong reminder to stop youth violence

A girl dropped dead. And a boy sleeping peacefully in his bedchamber. And then the cop arrives and cuffs the boy.

The newly arrived mini series of Netflix has triggered diverse opinions since it dropped its veil.

Jamie has stabbed Katie, and the latter has succumbed to her injuries. The plight of the Miller family does not end with the accusation, as a darker chapter starts unfolding.

This four-episode series reflects on the changing lives of middle school students. Nowadays, middle school in the UK is not just about learning algebra but about becoming a man in the eyes of girls. Sex is not just a word or dream but a vivid expectation of events derived from pornography.

When the internet took the front seat in COVID times, the world population felt relieved. From enjoying easy and convenient communication approaches to learning things quickly, it felt like the world was caged in a palm.

But every awesome thing comes with a hefty price. Kids have access to multiple things that were beyond reach in the early days. Feeling inferior in front of others, craving attention, and becoming a stud are what become primary characteristics of adolescents. And then comes the negligence of parents. Being busy with making a living and fulfilling needs is drawing gaps with their growing kids.

Unaware of the viciousness going on inside the head of their child, a parent stays busy till their world falls apart.

Adolescence is a take on life. It is a reminder to buckle your seatbelt before taking off. It is the alarm before everything blares off….
