The ongoing romance tale chronicling journey of Kang Woo and Hong Ju has taken the much awaited turn. With few steps away from the happy ending the drama looks through twists and turns the pair has faced this far.
1. Unprecedented decision
It was Kang Hoo Yeong's mother who took him away in his high school days even before he could profess his love. The gap brought immense pain in life of both.
An obnoxious affluent mother whisking her son away is a cliche twist which brings no emotion. The director could have helmed a better job in making the parting more sentimental for the audience.
2. Forceful love
Romanctic track between Ms. Bae and Hoo Yeong's uncle was out of blue and unnecessary. Also Hye Ji's fluttering moment with Mr. Son sabotaged the concept of emotion. She did not even got angry with Hong Ju. The flat arc of the character came out depressing and monotonous.
Secondary characters of the story played big role in building charm. But secondary characters here neither have any layers nor twists making them look pathetic manikins.
3. Date of Hong Ju and Hoo Yeong
Korean dramas are famous for giving flattering moments and butterflies through their date scenes. But the much awaited date of Hong Ju and Hoo Yeong was flat and saltless. Its understandable that Hoo Yeong was finally with his first love but the expression and situation could have been more beautiful and elegant. Hong Ju seemed like procrastinating more than living in the moment.
Even though Jong Hyeop and So Hyun had preceded classic stories in their kitty but this emancipation falls flat given the thin storyline and loose binding of twists in them.
