Chandu Champion Review: Every Chandu can become champion

Based on the real life journey of Murlikant Petkar, the story delves into the nuances which ultimately makes the boy from that village hero of the nation.

Introduction

"Haas kyun Raha hai?" A tiny little pod climbing on the back of his brother gets angry everytime someone mocks him. Seeing his village boy getting applauded for bringing medal inspires him to do the same.

The story is simple and motivating. It is the journey of the first swimmer to win gold in Olympics.

Review

The biopic on Murlikant Petkar scores big with the storytelling style. The oscillation between present and the past makes the audience wonder where it went wrong. The graph never takes a wrong pitch and the story sails smooth under the captain Kabir Khan.

Kartik Aaryan as the Wonder Boy has broke all his shields. From the nerd village boy to the determined youth who even fights with his mentor to take the plunge - the man has crossed big barriers in his journey of him as an actor. His contemporaries should worried now. Bhuvan Arora as the best friend who is responsible for changing the story of Chandu is smooth like butter. His little touch of humour adds nice tadka in this motivational journey. Vijay Raaz as the Mentor Tiger is effervescent. He brings alive the determination every time he marched into the screen.

Conclusion

The tale of an unsung hero brought alive in celluloid is a story you should not miss. Join the journey as Chandu emerges champion at the end of all his struggle.
