Savi: A Gripping thriller delivered through unbeatable performances

First, discuss the scintillating adaptation of the French thriller "Pour Elle". The trailer promised a promising Mrs. Khosla after a terrible performance in Yaariyan 2 and the promise was kept.

The perfect Life of Nakul and Savi falls apart as Nakul gets framed for murdering his boss. Despite Nakul's plea, the court convicts him for twelve years in jail. Now comes modern-day Savitri who vows to bring him out and have their dream life in a faraway land. 

Highs of the story

1. The adaptation maintains the key elements of the original tale.

2. Maintaining an adrenaline rush throughout. For example, Savi needs to act on her plan within 3 days otherwise she will lose her chance for bad.

3. Anil Kapoor and Harshvardhan Rane need no words but only applause. those eyes of Rane deserve a standing ovation. Divya Khosla Kumar after all these attempts throughout the years has given her best. But she still needs to work on herself.

Lows of the story

1. Music, could been better or to be precise appropriate.

Mr. & Mrs. Mahi: Life is bigger than dreams

Let's talk about our newlywed couple next door. 

The last sports drama I watched was MS Dhoni, which was a biopic. Mostly sports dramas focus on the knit grit of the life of the athlete the story has been made. But this latest sports drama is a romance story. It is not the story of Mahi failing as a cricketer. It is the story of Mahi who meets Mahi and together knits dream of getting the best cricketer trophy.

What makes Mr. & Mrs. Mahi adorable

1. The sweet chemistry between the fresh pair. Jahnvi and RR made the story sweet as cherry.

2. The storing narrative promises a unique premise. From capturing the awkwardness of newlyweds to blooming romance...it keeps all. 

Where Mahis fell apart

1. The pace of the storyline. The director often finds it difficult to keep the motion.

2. Gaps identified in storytelling while making it too real.

What is your pick?

I will go for Mr. & Mrs. Mahi over Savi. Sharan Sharma story gave us the much-needed romantic comedy we have been missing. Though there are subtle hints of societal norms or trying to break the stereotype, the story belongs to heart. So, it deserves a 5-star watch.
